Insurance + Referral Information

Clients are often able to use their Health Insurance Plan or Health Savings Account (HSA) to receive reimbursement for treatment.

Important: Danielle Emhof is not a Medicare provider. Currently, Medicare prohibits participants from being seen by non-Medicare providers, and self-payment from Medicare participants cannot be accepted.

Do I need a referral? California is a Direct Access state. You can seek evaluation and treatment from a Physical Therapist without a physician referral. After 12 visits or 45 days of treatment, a physician referral is required for continuation of care. Some insurance companies require a physician referral for out-of-network reimbursement.
